The West Central Minnesota Transportation Advisory Committee will hold its annual m Friday, July 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with lunch, at West Central Initiative in Fergus Falls.
Highlights of this year's open house meeting include:
-Legislative Panel Discussion - Organizations invited to participate on the Legislative Panel include the Association of Minnesota Counties, Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities, Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments, League of Minnesota Cities, Minnesota Association of Small Cities, Minnesota Association of Townships, Minnesota Rural Counties Caucus and the Transportation Alliance of Minnesota.
-Modal Panel Discussion - In addition to the Legislative Panel, a new panel will discuss Safe Routes to School, bicycle, pedestrian, active transportation, and transit issues. Organizations invited to participate in this discussion include Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota, Blue Cross / Blue Shield Center for Prevention, Horizon SHIP, MnDOT SRTS, MnDOT Transit, and PartnerSHIP 4 Health
-Area legislators in attendance will have the opportunity to speak about transportation-related issues from the this year's legislative session.

-Mn/DOT District 4 Update - Mary Safgren, Mn/DOT District 4 Planning Director, will present an overview of current and upcoming Mn/DOT projects and programs.
-West Central Initiative Update - Wayne Hurley will give a brief update on the latest at WCI.
