Last weekend in New York Mills was a chance for the community to participate in good will. Four fundraisers were held to help support various good causes. The community came out and supported them well.
Lions Auction
The annual Lions Auction continued its long history of fundraising success by bringing in over $11,000 Saturday night. Each year the Lions hold this very successful and entertaining event to raise money, which is then put back into the community in one form or another throughout the year.
The Lions provide scholarships for local college students, donate to various organizations in the area, support community events, and more.
Booster Club Golf Tournament

The 6th Annual NY Mills 4-Person Golf Scramble was held Saturday at Thumper Pond with 38 teams battling the wind and rain to support the Eagle Boosters. The event raised about $4,000 this year and the money will go into the Eagle Boosters general fund to help support Eagles athletics.
Rehborg Benefit
A benefit for Bill Rehborg, who is battling cancer, was held at City Hall in NY Mills reportedly raised around $10,000 with free will donation, silent auction and Thrivent match. Over 430 people attended the benefit. They went threw 44 gallons of chili and 48 loaves of flat breat, and ate all the cookies.
Fire Department Breakfast
This first time pancake and sausage event brought in about $1,500 to the donation boot. After expenses the department should clear over $1,200 on the breakfast. The raffle drawing raised about $2,000 after prize expenses. The money will be used for training and to purchase new equipment. An estimated 250 people showed up to the fire hall for breakfast.
