Woman survives eight hours trapped under car

A woman was rescued from underneath a vehicle at about 6 a.m. on Aug. 8 after being trapped for eight hours.

The woman, whose name was not released, was in an accident at about 10 p.m. the previous evening along Interstate 94, between Dalton and Fergus Falls, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department.

Passersby evidently felt the incident had been taken care of, not knowing that a victim was underneath the vehicle in the ditch.

The extent of the woman’s injuries was not known at press time.
