Minor injuries during Sunday, Feb. 24, blizzard
Several vehicles went off the road during the blizzard in Otter Tail County on Sunday, Feb. 24. Fortunately, only minor injuries were reported.
One injury took place at 9:11 a.m. northwest of Underwood, at the intersection of Highway 18 and 267th Avenue.
A driver rolled his Nissan Murano SUV and sustained cuts and frostbite. Assisting sheriff deputies at the scene of the accident near Underwood were members of the Fergus Falls Fire Department and Ringdahl ambulance.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
A semi left the road at 4:21 a.m. on Feb. 24 at the intersection of Highway 1 and 422nd Avenue, near Otter Tail Lake and southwest of the city of Ottertail. Fortunately, the driver did not sustain a serious injury.
Two minor injuries took place on Friday, Feb. 22, along Interstate 94 in southwestern Otter Tail County. One accident took place at 7:18 p.m. and the other one at 7:40 p.m.
The State Highway Patrol reported two non-life-threatening injuries from an accident at 7:28 a.m. on Feb. 23 along Interstate 94 in Pelican Lake Township, Grant County.
The driver of a lone vehicle, a Toyota FJ Cruiser, was traveling west. The driver lost control and ran off the roadway, rolling into the right ditch and coming to rest on its side.
