Kathleen E. Mayer

Kathleen Elizabeth Mayer, age 87, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the St. Cloud Hospital

Katie, as her friends called her, was born in Perham, MN on May 15, 1933 to Henry and Alvina Winter. Kathleen married Robert J. Mayer, of Frazee, MN, in June 1952. They resided in Frazee where they raised six children. Besides being a homemaker, Katie also did daycare for other children and for a time worked at the Frazee Retirement Center. After Bob’s retirement they relocated to Perham where Katie was an active member of St. Henry’s church and a greeter at Perham’s new hospital. She enjoyed baking pies for people, knitting and playing cards with her family.

She was preceded in death by Bob in 2017. Katie is survived by her six children, Mike, Jim, Jill, Amy, Greg and Eric; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.

A private graveside service is planned. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
