Ann Marie Seifert

Ann Marie (Schornack) Seifert, age 90 of Perham, MN passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 and Parish Prayers at 7:00 on Sunday, April 3 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Visitation will resume at 1:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 2:00 on Monday, April 4 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Perham with Father Tom Skaja officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Ann Marie was born July 28, 1931, in Perham, the daughter of John and Anna (Lachowitzer) Schornack. Ann attended country school, and only 2nd grade at St. Henry’s School before returning to country school.

Ann was united in marriage to John W. Seifert on December 27, 1951, at St. Henry’s Catholic Church. They made their home in Perham where they raised nine children.

She cleaned businesses around Perham and then worked at Perham Memorial Hospital and Home for 17 years.

Ann was active in Boy Scouts as a Den Mother, 4-H Club, Homemakers Group, VFW Auxiliary, and Christian Mothers.

She enjoyed being on the bowling league with John, card playing with their friends, casino trips, and dancing. She was an active homemaker always canning produce from John’s garden and making the best caramel rolls and chocolate chip cookies.

Ann was very strong in her faith and her belief in God and was never without her rosary.

Ann is survived by her children Tim (Shawn) Seifert, Patricia (Donald) Hendrickx, Diane (Michael) Moorhouse, Janice (Joe) Guck, Carol (Dennis) Miranowski, Joe (Tami) Seifert, Jerry (Cindy) Seifert, Steve (Carolyn) Seifert, and Kathy (Brian) Fraki; 33 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Paul Seifert; and sisters-in-law Sue Schornack, Anna Seifert, and Susan Seifert.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John in 2005; siblings Elizabeth (Raymond) Doll, Catherine (Alois) Doll, Marcella (Edward) Sczygiel, Cecelia (Frank) Sczygiel, Alvina (Jim) Kunza, Joseph Schornack, and Theresa (Leo) Doll.
