Stephanie “Jane” Frank

Stephanie “Jane” Frank, age 67, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023 at Sanford Hospital, Roger Maris Center, Fargo, ND.
Jane was born March 9, 1955 to John “Buck” Frank and Lucille (Jacobson) Frank in Perham, MN. She was the youngest of nine children. Jane resided on Star Lake during her youth, graduating from Perham High School. She started her college education at Shasta College, Redding, CA and got her business degree from Cal State University, Long Beach, CA. She enjoyed her years in California visiting her extensive family and making many good friends during her time there.
Jane returned back to Minnesota to help support her aging parents and help run Frank’s Lodge in the 90’s. She then started working at Innova Industries, Fergus Falls, MN, in 2005 as a purchasing agent, refusing to retire from the job she so enjoyed. She thrived living on the lake; playing cribbage and other various card games, fishing, and giving rides on her pontoon known as the “Sweet Baby Jane”. Her joy was her family, always being the life of the party, and sharing many fond memories of the lake and it’s history. Jane was a very loving and generous sister, aunt and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Lucile (Jacobson) Frank, Brother Richard Frank, sister Kristine “Frank” Knuttila, and nephew Johnny Frank. Surviving siblings are Joyce (Howard) Weyker, Sebastapol, CA, John and Kathy Frank, Dent, MN, Mary duCharme, Dent, MN, Karen (Gary) Christian, Strawberry Lake, MN/Venice, Florida, Beth (Bill) Weil, Snellville, GA, Robert (Dona) Frank, Redding, California, 18 nieces and nephews, along with many great nieces and nephews. She was one for always having a treat ready for any little children that came to visit her. Jane was a very loving and generous sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by us all.
A celebration of life will be held in Jane’s honor July 1st on Star Lake. In lieu of flowers you may make donations to The Jane Frank memorial fund, which will be used for upkeep of the shoreline/The John Frank memorial bridge on her beloved lake.
