On Thursday, July 26 our dad was inducted into the Minnesota Business Hall Of Fame and it was the beginning of an outstanding couple of days. It was a great event that wrapped up with him giving a very nice and appreciative acceptance speech. The attendance and support for him from the Perham community as well as friends and business partners was great and the standing ovation he received after finishing his speech brought both chills and tears.

On Friday, we held our 34th Annual Tuffy Nelson Golf Classic that consisted of 352 golfers playing at Perham Lakeside with shotgun starts at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. We had beautiful weather and raised between $40,000 - $50,000 for great causes like Cancer Research, ALS and Mentoring Programs. The fun went into the evening in which we found it difficult trying to decide which fun table of friends we would sit and laugh with next. There is a significant amount of time and effort that goes into executing an event like this and for the 34th year in a row, everyone did an amazing job.

The common thread throughout all of this were the people. From the 50-60 Perham people that made the drive down to Minneapolis for our Dad's event to all of the volunteers and participants that made our annual golf tournament another great success, it wouldn't have happened without lots of people along the way and for that we wanted to say thanks.
