Republican Michelle Fischbach was running for a second term in Congress. Challengers Jill Abahsain and Travis "Bull" Johnson told supporters during their campaigns that they believed Fischbach was vulnerable.
Two candidates are looking to unseat Republican incumbent Michelle Fischbach as the three squared off in a debate on Tuesday, Nov. 1, which centered around the events of Jan. 6, abortion, inflation, the farm bill and student loan forgiveness.
Republican incumbent U.S. Rep. Michelle Fischbach is seeking her second term in a district considered a stronghold for her party. Opponents Jill Abahsain of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party and Travis "Bull" Johnson of the Legal Marijuana Now Party say discontent with the incumbent and their positions on issues important to the district give them a fighting chance.
Michelle Fischbach's irresponsible vote to dispute Electoral College votes in the 2020 presidential election set a "horrible precedent" and we cannot endorse her for re-election.

Rep. Kelly Armstrong, R-N.D., voted against the package, as did Rep. Dusty Johnson, R-S.D., and Reps. Michelle Fischbach and Pete Stauber, both of whom are Minnesota Republicans.
