Perham area students earn fall 2021 academic honors

Perham area students from Alexandria Technical College, Central Lakes College, M State and the University of Minnesota Crookston are included.

Local college students earned academic honors from area colleges in fall 2021.

Alexandria Technical College

Two Perham area students earned the Dean's List honor from Alexandria Technical and Community College for fall 2021, achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. The local students are Ryan Kickhafer of New York Mills and Thomas Leyh of Perham.

Central Lakes College

One area student, Derin Gaudette of Ottertail, earned the President's List honor from Central Lakes College for fall 2021. The President’s List includes students who earned a GPA of 3.75 to 4.0 while enrolled for at least 12 credits.

M State graduates

Several local students graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College in the fall. The graduates include 235 students from programs online and on campuses in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena. The local students are:

New York Mills: Samantha Lenius, Accounting and Payroll Specialist.


Perham: Allison Bristlin, Liberal Arts and Sciences and Nursing ; Lisa Dahl, Liberal Arts and Sciences ; Dana Flink, Administrative Support.

Richville: Justin Dickerson, Business Transfer Pathway ; Brianna Schwoboda, Cosmetology.

University of Minnesota Crookston

The University of Minnesota Crookston fall 2021 graduates include Ashley Ratz of Vergas, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Management. Graduates completed their degree requirements during the fall semester 2021.

One Perham area student, Paul Hendrickx of New York Mills, earned the Chancellor's List honor for the fall semester. To qualify for a place on the Chancellor's List, students must complete 12 or more letter-graded (A-F) credits while attaining a 4.0 GPA.
