The Ottertail Lions Club hosted a Christmas party for people with disabilities on Friday, Dec. 3 at the Otter Supper Club. The highlight of many people's years, the party started at 11 a.m., but many were already there at 9:30.
Ron Grobeck, Ottertail's mayor and Chamber of Commerce president, said there were steady groups of people there throughout the day: “It was nice to see good weather and large crowds, and lots of kids,” he said.
A trunk-or-treat event with candy, a Halloween House, and pumpkin and cookie decorating brought in steady crowds to celebrate Halloween at the Ottertail Community Center.
The Otter Tail County Safe Communities Coalition is having a car seat check and bicycle helmet giveaway on Sept. 27 from 3–6 p.m. at the Ottertail Operations Center at 469 Main St. in Ottertail.
The 11th Annual Polka Daze is returning to Ottertail for 2021. Sponsored by the Ottertail Lions, Polka Daze will start Thursday, Sept. 9 and carry on to Friday, Sept. 10 and Saturday, Sept. 11 for three days of celebrations.
Otterfest will be returning to Ottertail on Saturday, Aug. 14. Prior to the festival, there will also be a demolition derby on Friday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m.
The Ottertail Business and Community Association is seeking vendors and parade entries for their annual Otterfest event, which will be on Saturday, Aug. 14 in Ottertail.
