Unbeaten Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton set for first Prep Bowl appearance in school history

For the first time since its 1994 consolidation, Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton will play for a state football title.

Saturday afternoon, the unbeaten Rebels will take on the 10-2 Wildcats of New London-Spicer in the Class AAA Prep Bowl championship game at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

The last state title game appearance for a team with Glyndon in its name was in 1985 when Glyndon-Felton defeated Zumbrota 38-14.

 

Luke Bast's return to lineup comes at key time for Fighting Hawks

The plan was not for Luke Bast to come in and play 20 minutes in his first game in eight months.

The UND defenseman, who had been recovering from an upper-body injury sustained in the fall, was expecting to be eased into the lineup.

But when Fighting Hawks alternate captain Ethan Frisch left Friday's game in Bemidji with a lower-body injury in the second period and junior Tyler Kleven suffered an injury in the third, Bast was thrown into the fire.

Barnesville gets another chance to win first state football championship

Barnesville football hasn’t missed the state tournament in seven years. The Trojans have reached the semifinals five times, and are set to play in their second championship in that span with one elusive goal in mind.

"It's a dream come true just to play in it," said senior Owen Riddle. "To win it is history."

NDSU Bison ready for playoff showdown with Montana

Montana had to win in dramatic fashion 34-24 over Southeastern Missouri State to advance on Saturday. The Bison are making their thirteenth-straight playoff appearance.

Montana will visit the FargoDome for the first time since a 2015 second-round mathchup in which NDSU avenged an early-season loss to the Griz en route to a national championship. Bison head coach Matt Entz knows all too well what this year's Montana team brings to the table.

PGA Golfer Tom Hoge inducted into Fargo South hall of fame

PGA Tour winner and former Fargo South Bruin Tom Hoge was honored Tuesday night as an inductee to the school's Hall of Fame.

Hoge attended South from 2004-2007, also inducted was former coach Steve Kennedy, the pair won state championships for the Bruins all four of those years.

Key Bison football players will enter transfer portal

A day after the regular season ended, North Dakota State cornerback Marques Sigle, wide receiver D.J. Hart and running back Dominic Gonnella are entering the transfer portal.

Sigle confirmed that he has played his last down with the Bison and confirmed Hart and Gonnella are leaving NDSU, too.

Fargo North volleyball headed to state for the first time in 11 years

We’re down to just 16 teams in North Dakota High School Volleyball the state tournament starts Thursday and one of those 16 teams is Fargo North.

The Spartans ended their decade-long state tournament drought Saturday with a win over Red River at the EDC tournament.
