Puzzlepalooza coming to Perham Jan. 22

The ultimate puzzle competition is returning to Perham.

Puzzlepalooza, a fundraising event hosted by Empowering Kids, will start at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Countryside Barn in Perham. Doors will open at 2 p.m. Countryside Barn is located at 48174 County Highway 53.

Teams of two will compete with matching 500-piece puzzles, and teams of four will compete with matching 1000-piece puzzles. Each team will have two hours to finish as much of the puzzle as possible; the team with the fewest pieces left at the end wins.

The competition is for ages 16 and up and costs $50 per person. Wine, beer and soda will be available for purchase. All proceeds will go toward Empowering Kids.

Competitors get to take their puzzle home after the competition. Virtual participation is also available.

The first-place prize of $200 will go to the winning four-player team and $100 to the two-player team. Second-place prizes are $100 and $50, and third-place winners will receive Empowering Kids tumblers with treats.
