Attacking Lady Jackets win at Sebeka

SEBEKA — Senior Tina Scheidecker and sophomore Ella Von Ruden combined for 34 points as the Perham girls basketball team won their ninth game of the season with a 64-43 road victory over the Trojans in Sebeka.

Scheidecker led all scorers with 18 points. Von Ruden added 16 points and pulled in 13 rebounds for a big double-double.

“Tina Scheidecker played a very aggressive game, she was a threat every time she had the ball and her shot was on,” Head Coach T.J. Super said. “Ella Von Ruden came in off the bench and once again played a great game inside.”

Perham built a comfortable lead up 14 at halftime 36-22. The Yellowjackets attacked the basket putting up 62 shots to only 33 from Sebeka.

“The girls played pretty good basketball from start to finish. They did a really good job taking care of the basketball and made great decisions that resulted in great shots.”

Maria Rutten and Analea Erickson scored nine points. Brittany Miller added seven.

"Brittany Miller also did a nice job distributing the ball around, playing a very solid point guard position once again.”

Eight different Yellowjackets got on the scoresheet with points.

Heidi Olson led Sebeka with 11 points.

Perham finishes regular season play with three Heart O’ Lakes Conference games beginning Thursday at home versus Frazee, next Tuesday at home versus D-G-F and wrapping up the season on the road at Pelican Rapids.
