Football: Perham JV improves to 2-2

The Perham JV football team improved to 2-2 on the season with a 28-8 win at Park Rapids.

The team played four quarters of strong, Yellowjacket football. It seemed as if everything was hitting on all cylinders, the boys were not going to be denied their second win. We put together some great drives and just missed on a couple of big plays. The defense played rock solid as we went into the half up 14-0.

In the second half, the defense played relentless, forcing turnovers and scoring a touchdown of their own. The offense was able to control the ball for most of the half, behind the shoulders of a great running game.

If the Jackets play like they did against Park Rapids, they will be a very tough team to beat in their two remaining games.

The JV is in action again on Thursday, September 26 when they host the Vikings of Pelican Rapids.
