6 Yellowjacket wrestlers to compete in Supersection

Top two finishers in each class to advance to state tournament

The Perham Yellowjackets will send six wrestlers to compete in the State Preliminary Tournament Saturday, March 20, at Foley High School. The top two finishers will advance to the state tournament in St. Michael Friday, March 26.

The State Preliminary tournament, also known as the Supersection, includes the top four placewinners from the individual Section 8AA tournament and the top four placewinners from the individual Section 7AA tournament. The section tournament for the Yellowjackets was Tuesday, March 16, in Pequot Lakes.

Perham's Chandler Mickelson will compete in the 106 weight class, Gareth Covington will compete in the 126 weight class, Jack Fudge in the 152 weight class, Blake Lorentz in the 160 weight class, Brian Ramos in the 182 weight class, and Gordon Enyart in the 195 weight class.

Saturday's tournament will be available to livestream on YouTube.
