BATTLE LAKE -- The New York Mills Eagles baseball team remained undefeated and continued their hot start with a sweep of Otter Tail Central (OTC) in Battle Lake Tuesday by scores of 6-1 and 7-2.
Opening the season with six straight victories NY Mills is averaging 9.7 runs scored and only allowing 1.5 runs per game.
"Through six games so far we've played pretty well," Head Coach Chris Bushinger said. "Our pitching has really stood out. Adam Snelgrove, Brandon Kupfer and Tyler Patron have all done a great job of throwing strikes and keeping free passes to the bases kept to a minimum."
The mastery on the mound has shown on the scoreboard.
The closest margin of victory was four runs in the second game of the season - a 6-2 victory at Menahga.

Senior ace Adam Snelgrove pitched a complete game in the opener at OTC going seven innings. Snelgrove scattered five hits, allowed just the one run and fanned 11 batters, accounting for nearly four innings of outs himself.
Daniel Kraft, Tyler Patron, Maison Roberts all went 2-4 at the plate. All three scored a run. Roberts had two RBI and scored the game-winning run in the third inning.
Leadoff hitter Shane Novak was 2-5 hitting, also reaching on a walk and adding a RBI.
Brandon Kupfer walked twice in a 1-4 effort at the plate, scoring once.
OTC got their only run in the sixth inning.
Kupfer took the hill for the nightcap. He faced 24 batters in six innings of work, allowing two runs, one earned. He struck out three batters and walked one. Kupfer limited the Bulldogs to three hits.
Patron fanned all three batters he faced in relief in the seventh inning in a non-save situation.
Roberts was 2-3 with 2 RBI and a run scored.

Snelgrove scored the game-winner in the second inning.
The top four batters in the lineup, Novak, Adam Patron, Kupfer and Roberts had six of the Eagles eight hits. The other two came from the number nine spot, Sam Slieter and Nick LeTourneau, showcasing a lineup that can score in any inning.
"We've put the ball in play, and we've come up with some timely hitting that have put some runs on the board," said Bushinger. "This has been done with everybody in the lineup, hitters 1-9. That's good to see that we're putting the ball in play and we're getting on base."
The Eagles' next match-up will be at home tomorrow, Thursday, April 29, against Menahga (1-6),
The early streak has the Eagles in command of the Park Region Conference. They are one of two undefeated teams in the PRC at 5-0. Pillager is 3-0 in conference play, but 3-4 overall.
