The Perham Buzz wrapped up the 2020 season with a pair of wins at Krueger Field and a split at Fergus Falls. The Buzz defeated Warroad on Aug. 4 before traveling to Fergus Falls on Aug. 6 to split a doubleheader.

Noah Rooney set the tone for the Buzz in game one against Warroad. He connected on a two-strike offering and sent it over the fence in right, giving Perham the early 1-0 lead.

It would be the only run Perham would need as Maddux Kovash kept Warroad at bay for five innings to earn the win. Kovash allowed five hits, struck out five and did not walk a batter. Kovash continued a strong senior season where he picked up pitching wins over Alexandria, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Warroad.

Perham added to its lead in the fifth inning with a two-run single from Carter Mulcahy to make it 3-0.

Stephen Lindberg pitched a pair of scoreless innings to record the save for Perham. He allowed one hit with one strikeout. He hit a batter and walked a batter in his two innings of work.

Rooney finished with two hits and two runs scored for Perham. Mulcahy added a two-run single. Chas Melvin had a hit as well for Perham in the victory.

Perham rallied from behind to win its final regular season home game against Warroad for a 6-3 victory.

Perham trailed 3-2 but rallied back for a 6-3 win.

Mick Meyer picked up the win in relief. He went the final five innings on the mound for Perham. Mulcahy started the game on the mound and pitched the first two innings.

Mulcahy finished with two hits and drove in two runs. Andrew Smith, Rooney and Kovash each collected a hit in the win. Jacob McAallister finished with a double and a triple as well.

Perham was able to close out the regular season with a doubleheader split with Fergus Falls. Perham dropped the first game by a score of 3-1, but was able to bounce back with an 8-1 victory over Fergus Falls. Chas Melvin went the distance, picking up the win for Perham to close out the season.
