Aixa Kolofale finished with 12 points, while Lisa Meader added 11 points. Eight Perham players recorded points in the victory.

Perham erased any thoughts of a Staples-Motley upset when they stormed out to a 38-23 first half lead. They tacked on the lead in the second half, cruising to the 76-51 victory. It was the second consecutive strong performance for the Yellowjackets.

They hope to continue that momentum in to Saturday’s Section 8AA quarterfinal when they take on East Grand Forks, who eliminated Crookston.

Claire Wolhowe led the way for the Cardinals. She finished with a team high of 19 points and was the only player in double figures.

The Yellowjackets improved their season mark to 14-13 overall. They will travel to Concordia on Saturday, March 3 for a 7:30 p.m. start against East Grand Forks, the No. 3 seed from the north. The Green Wave advanced with a 53-48 victory over Crookston. They enter the game with a 22-5 record on the season.
