Big Pine Lodge wins Perham Softball Championship

The Big Pine Lodge Men's Softball team captured the Perham Softball Championship with a 16-14 victory over Weller Oil/Joe's Backhoe/Arvig on Aug. 22 at Arvig Park.

Big Pine Lodge needed the if necessary game to win the championship. They dropped the first game 21-9 to Weller Oil/Joe's Backhoe/Arvig, but responded with a big second game, including a seventh inning rally for the win.

Weller Oil/Joe's Backhoe/Arvig advanced to the championship round with an 8-2 victory over Northern Lakes Marine/Silver Moon.
