Call it weird timing but I took the afternoon off and went home. I flipped on the beast desktop and cruised the web for fun. Huh, I wonder what's going on at the purported official Brett Favre's site?
"(The site) is currently experiencing high traffic volume. During this time only this slimmed down home page will be available. You will be able to access the rest of the site once traffic volumes decrease. We apologize for any inconvenience."
When I heard Percy Harvin was reporting today, it just seemed natural that the Favre question, of which only the crazed didn't know the eventual outcome, would be answered soon. About a half hour ago the purple fanatics started blowing up on Facebook.
"Brett is back!"
The NFL Network and Fox Sports have reported Favre got on a plane a little after 2 p.m. headed north from his home in Mississippi. Reports also state a handful of Vikings, including Jared Allen, missed practice earlier Monday to go to Mississippi to recruit Favre.

In the truly ridiculous, NFL Network reports Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500 in Minneapolis has deduced which flight Favre is on and has provided a link to track the flight. Pelissero believes Favre is on a flight from Dothan, Ala., to St. Paul.
ESPN News just showed live footage of Favre's plane landing in Minnesota.
The Vikings have yet to confirm the news, nor has Favre's agent.
Last year, Favre reported the first day after the Vikings broke training camp. Today is the second day after they broke camp.
Check any sports outlet on television or the web for further updates. It's all they're talking about.
