According to Race Organizer, Jeff Morris, the first annual Crazy Day's Half-Marathon and 5k were a huge success.

"A great turnout and great weather. We had 135 registered runners combined in the half-marathon and 5k, including an entire wedding party, which consisted of former Perham 800 state champ Brittany Gigstead, who I coached in high school and currently runs for North Dakota State University."

Morris coaches Gigstead and James Schanandore, the groom, who ran for NDSU, in their post-collegiate pursuits.

"I think we will double our turn-out next year, and I am bringing in a few Olympic trials qualifiers in marathon next year."

Morris gives special thanks to the sponsors and also United Community Bank of Perham for donating water and the following sponsorship levels: Platinum ($500) Gold ($250), Silver ($100):
