Lakers enact revenge on Yellowjacket swimmers

After losing to their Mid-State Conference rival Perham by just one point a couple of weeks ago, the Detroit Lakes girls' swimming and diving team was more than motivated in the Lakers' home finale Thursday inside the BTD Aquatics Center.

That motivation rolled into a 96-89 victory over the Yellowjackets.

The Laker seniors were a part of 10 event wins, including the 400 freestyle relay, in which they are all participating.

The relay event sealed the deal on the meet win, after the foursome raced for a time of 3:58.67.

Weiss is also nearing the 28-year-old DLHS 50-freestyle record, after she set a personal-best 25.94, the first time she broke the 26-second mark.
