New York Mills honored their wrestling team for a successful season. The Eagles were the Park Region Conference Tournament and Dual Champions for the 2011-12 season. The team recorded 14-6 record, while Jeremiah Harper (106 lbs.), Shane Novak (113) and Maison Roberts (138), were individual Conference Champs.
Four Eagles represented NY Mills at the state tournament; Tyler Ehnert (126), Roberts, Max Carlson (HWT) and Shane Novak. Novak won the state championships at 113 pounds.
The team and coaches also awarded 'Most Outstanding Wrestler' to Novak. Sophomore Taylor Ericksrud was named 'Most Improved Wrestler.'
The Eagle award went to Junior Max Carlson, while 'Rookie of the Year' was awarded to freshman, Austin Haman.
