The NY Mills volleyball team just missed the first victory of the season going the distance in a 3-2 loss at home versus Menahga.
"That was (as) confident the girls have started a match this year, which really shows how far we've come," Head Coach Amy Koskela said.
The Eagles broke out to an early 2-0 lead taking the first two sets 25-20 and 25-19.
Momentum quickly changed in set three with Menahga breaking out to an early lead and taking 50 of the next 74 points to even the match with identical 25-12 scores in sets three and four.
The deciding set five, played to 15 points, went to the Braves 15-9.

"I think we could have pulled it off if our serving and serve receive would have held out in the last three sets. I'm proud of the girls because I think they showed how much they've improved throughout the year."
Menahga upped their record to 10-11. The Eagles fell to 0-22.
