An injured eagle reported to Perham police may have been missing part of its beak.
The report of an eagle injured on a roadway was reported the morning of May 22, according to the Perham police log. The report was referred to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
Conservation Officer Chris Vinton responded to the call but was unable to capture the eagle as the bird had flown to the top of a large oak tree, DNR Public Information Officer Kristi Coughlon said in an email with the Focus.
"From what he could tell from a distance, the eagle was missing a part of its upper break," Coughlon said.
No other information about the eagle is known at this time.
