Perham youth baseball teams will have an awards presentation Sunday, Aug. 15, at Krueger Field. This will include recognizing the Perham grades 7 and 8 team, 13 Babe Ruth, 15 Babe Ruth, Perham High School spring awards and summer awards for Legion and junior Legion
Here is a summary of the summer baseball programs in Perham went:
LEGION: The Buzz were eliminated in semifinals, finishing in fourth place in Sub State Division 1 playoffs. Moorhead advanced to state competition. The Buzz finished 15-8 on the summer.
JUNIOR LEGION: The Sting were eliminated in the championship game, finishing in second place in the Sub State D1 Playoffs. Bemidji advanced to state. The Sting finished 16-9.
15-14-13 BABE RUTH: Eliminated in the semifinals in district playoffs. The team lost to Wadena, which finished second in the state.

13 BABE RUTH: Won the district championship and advanced to the Babe Ruth state playoffs, taking third place.
12-11 LITTLE LEAGUE: Perham White won the Lakes Area Little League Championship, while Perham Black and Gold advanced through the top eight bracket. There were 33 Little Leaguers for Perham.
10-9 MINOR LEAGUE: Perham Yellow took second place in the Lakes Area Minor League Playoffs, but all four Perham teams advanced in the top bracket. There were 48 Minor League Players representing Perham this summer.
8-7 ROOKIE LEAGUE and 6-5 TBALL: There were nearly 100 kids playing in these two divisions.
