The Perham boys basketball team made it 22 straight with a convincing 80-49 victory over the Frazee Hornets on Feb. 20 at the Hive.
The Yellowjackets continued their dominance over Heart O’Lakes Conference opponents and their dominance on their home court. The Yellowjackets have won 48 straight at home and 26 at the Hive in the last two seasons. The Yellowjackets last home loss was a 59-47 defeat to Esko during the 2016-17 season. It was previously reported the home winning streak was 27, but that was over the last two seasons. Further research showed the streak went back to the 2016-17 season.
The Yellowjackets jumped out to a 44-20 first half lead and outscored the Hornets 36-29 in the second half as they earned the big home win.
Finn Diggins finished with a career high of 34 points. Diggins hit four of his nine 3-point attempts and was 11 of 13 from inside the arc. He grabbed seven rebounds as well in the win.
Elijah Morris finished with 15 points and five rebounds for Perham. Charlie Rasmussen added 12 points and dished out six assists.

Gunnar Anderson finished with nine points in the win as well for Perham.
The victory improved Perham to 22-0 and 10-0 in the Heart O’Lakes Conference. The Yellowjackets are now 13-0 against Section 8AA opponents.
The Yellowjackets will now take on the Esko Eskomos on Feb. 21 at 7:15 p.m. in Esko, before returning home for their regular season home finale against Pelican Rapids on Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m.
