The Yellowjackets dug deep to pull off a 72-69 overtime victory against conference opponents Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Thursday, Feb. 11, at The Hive.
Perham started the game a little slow, according to head coach Dave Cresap. "We need to get off to a better start against these good teams," he said.
The Yellowjackets trailed by four at the half and came back determined. They tied the game and outscored the Rebels 13-10 in overtime to come away with the win.
"I was very pleased with the grit we showed to battle back into this game," Cresap said.
Stronger rebounding by the Yellowjackets was one key difference in the game. Perham had 38 total rebounds to DGF's 23 rebounds. On the offensive side, sophomore guard Micah Thompson led the Yellowjackets, scoring 24 and Elijah Morris right behind with 23. DGF sophomore guard Owen Leach led all scoring with 34 points.
