Perham falls short against Fergus Falls

Yellowjackets suffer 48-43 defeat by Otters


The Yellowjackets couldn't quite close the gap against the Fergus Falls Otters after trailing by eight in the first half, losing 48-43 Saturday, March 6, in Fergus Falls.

Seniors Finn Diggins and Elijah Morris led the team in scoring with 16 and 14 points, respectively. Morris sunk four threes, and Diggins was 6-7 from the line for Perham.

The Yellowjackets also grabbed 27 rebounds and had only six turnovers, while Fergus Falls had 24 rebounds and nine turnovers. The Otters, however, were able to make a few more shots to win the game.

The loss is the second for the Yellowjackets in as many days; Perham lost to Moorhead Friday after winning eight consecutive games.

The Yellowjackets fall to 12-4. They host Pelican Rapids Thursday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m. at The Hive
