The Perham girls golf team got its second consecutive win at the Frazee Golf Course Tuesday, April 27. Mallory Belka and Lexi Kunza took first and second, respectively, and Rylee Hunt also finished in the top 5.

The Yellowjackets won by 27 strokes with a team score of 183. Hawley placed second with a team score of 210, and Barnesville rounded out the top three with a score of 215.

Individually, Belka was the top medalist with a score of 38, and Kunza placed second with a score of 46. Hunt shot a 49 for fourth place, and Hope Rosen shot a 50 for sixth place. Addicyn Zimmerman took 10th place with a score of 52, and Aubry Zimmerman finished 27th with a score of 60.

Head coach Cory Solberg said it was nice to get a team win in Frazee. "The course is a little tricky in spots, and everyone probably wishes that they could play one hole over, but our scores were still good for our second competition."

He was also pleased with the individual competitions. "Mallory continued her stellar play by taking first place, Lexi Kunza took second place ad continues to be toward the top," he said. "Rylee Hunt and Hope Rosen also posted good scores from Frazee, finishing in the top 10.

"It's always nice to have our players toward the top of the scoring list," Solberg said, but "we still have a few things to work on to continue to get better."

The Jackets travel to Breckenridge Thursday, April 29, for a 2 p.m. meet.
