Perham-New York Mills' McDonald season's first Iron Woman, team takes fifth in Park Rapids

Perham-New York Mills freshman Elle McDonald became the first swimmer on the team to become an Iron Woman this season.

At the Park Rapids, where Perham-New York Mills took fifth, McDonald swam in all eight individual events. She also cut off 27 seconds on her 100-yard butterfly and 19 seconds on her 100-yard breaststroke.

Melrose took first place as a team with 551.5 points. Sauk Centre (511.5), Park Rapids (464.5) Detroit Lakes (432.5) and Perham-New York Mills (239) rounded out the scores for all five teams at the meet.
