Win No. 601 wasn’t as stressful as win No. 600 for Perham head coach Dave Cresap. The Yellowjackets broke open a close game with a huge second half and cruised to a 65-37 victory over the Barnesville Trojans at the Prairie Wind Middle School gymnasium.

Cresap was honored prior to the game by Perham Activities Director Erin Anderson and Anderson said it was fitting they were recognizing him in a place where the majority of his 600 wins came from.

Cresap was presented with a plaque and received a round of applause from the fans in attendance.

The Yellowjackets had three players finish in double figures with Gunnar Anderson leading the Yellowjackets with 17 points. He connected on five 3-pointers in the win. Finn Diggins added 15 points, while Grant McMartin poured in 13, 11 of them coming in the second half. McMartin hit three 3-pointers in the win as well.

Perham broke open a seven-point halftime lead with a dominant second half, outscoring the Trojans 37-16.
