Perham swimmers earn first win of season against Thief River Falls

Yellowjackets take first in eight events

The Perham/NewYork Mills boys swimming team notched its first victory of the season with a 90-64 win over Thief River Falls on Thursday, Jan. 29.

The Yellowjackets had fast times across the board, winning eight events, including six individual events and two relays. Eighth grader Blaker Swenson, juniors Luke Becker and Max George, and freshman Domanik Hagen won the 200 medley relay, and Swenson, George, juniors Dan Kingsley and Jonah Bieger took first in the 200 freestyle relay.

The team travels to Detroit Lakes Tuesday, Feb. 2, for a meet at 6 p.m.
