The Perham boys tennis team cruised to a 5-2 victory over the Moorhead Spuds in its home opener on April 18 at the Perham Tennis Courts.
The Yellowjackets picked up a pair of wins in singles competition, but cruised to straight set victories in doubles action, helping the Yellowjackets win at home.

Josh Peterson and Drew Birkeland picked up singles wins at No. 2 and No. 4 singles, respectively. Peterson earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Hagar Khalid. Birkeland knocked off Oscar Bergerson in straight sets 6-2, 6-1.

Ryan Murphy and Anthony Reese were in strong form as they cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Jeron Sheldon and Ives Hilgers at No. 1 doubles.
Elijah Schmidt and Jordan Muench were victorious in straight sets at 6-3, 6-1 over Dan Arnold and Justin Dang at No. 2 doubles.
Zach Peterson and Dylan Fudge rolled in straight sets at No. 3 doubles against Rhett Kramer and Matt Malasky. Peterson and Fudge dropped three games in the first set, before blanking Kramer and Malasky in the second set 6-3, 6-0.
