The Perham volleyball team got off to a good start against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Tuesday taking the first set 25-19, before dropping the next three 25-15, 28-26 and 25-21 in a Heart O' Lakes Conference loss.
"Poor blocking cost us the match tonight," said Head Coach Dan Christenson. "27 block errors with only 5 team blocks - that ratio has to change if this team plans to be a HOL conference or 8AA Section contender."
Blocking was part of the game Christenson stressed would be addressed in practice looking for improvement. Something the team has seen in the serving department.
"Our serving was much improved tonight."
The Yellowjackets missed only two serves as a team.

Perham bounced back in conference play Thursday with a victory over West Central Area.
Serve receive set the stage for the offense with a 2.1 team average, Perham's best of the season.
"I was proud of how our seniors, Kelli Meehl, Kaylan Huber, Mary Guck, Amber Kalina, Abby Kalina, stepped up tonight and led their team."
Coming into the homestretch of the volleyball season, leadership will become more important for the Jackets to build on their 9-7 overall record in preparation for the playoffs.
Perham bounced back at home making quick work of West Central Area.
"We came out ready to play - it's a great time of the year to gain confidence and they did that tonight."
Perham was led by no surprise, Katrina Moenkedick, at the net. She dominated the middle with 10 kills and three blocks. Mary Guck had 10 assists and Kaylan Huber led the defense with 14 digs.
