MOORHEAD – The Perham baseball team ended its regular season with three straight wins to lock up the top seed in the Section 8-2A North bracket and a Heart O’Lakes Conference championship.

Logan Pulju got the scoring started with a two-round double in the top of the first inning. Moorhead would take a 3-2 lead before the Yellowjackets exploded for five runs in the fifth inning.

Blaiz Schmidt tied the game with a single before Evan Kovash gave Perham a 4-3 lead with a base hit. Schmidt scored on a wild pitch before Austin Aanenson made it 6-3 with an RBI single. Chas Melvin made it a four-run game with a sacrifice fly to cap off a big frame.
