ST. MICHAEL- The Perham boys basketball team had another clash with a ranked opponent on Saturday.
The Yellowjackets (8-5) fell 61-55 to 13th-ranked Rockford (16-2) in St. Michael-Albertville. Derek Pepin led the Rockets with a game-high 26 points.
Perham’s Micah Thompson had a team-high 20 points and six rebounds, while Soren Anderson had 19 points. Perham was 23-for-42 from the field, including 5-for14 from three-point range. Rockford out-rebounded Perham 21-19 and also had three fewer turnovers.
The Yellowjackets play in another neutral site game on Saturday in Alexandria against Redwood Valley.
