Boys tennis: Willprecht, Schwantz receive academic honors

Perham's Reese Wilprecht and Michael Schwantz were named to the All-State Academic team with a GPA of 3.75 or better.

PERHAM – Two Perham boys tennis seniors received All-State Academic Awards following the 2022 season.

Reese Willprecht and Michael Schwantz qualified for the honor with at least a 3.75 GPA on a varsity tennis team for the 2022 season.

Jared Rubado is the sports editor for the Detroit Lakes Tribune and the Perham Focus. He moved to the area in September of 2021 after covering sports for the Alexandria Echo Press for nearly three years. Jared graduated from the University of Augustana in 2018 with degrees in journalism and sports managment.
