PERHAM – The Perham girls basketball stayed unbeaten on Tuesday night.
The Yellowjackets rolled over Underwood to a 69-48 victory. Perham led 43-40 with 10 minutes left before closing the game on a 26-4 run.
Perham put on a clinic on defense, sparked by Ryleigh Mickelson and Cora Grismer.
“Ryleigh Mickelson and Cora Grismer were great on defense, with great help and on the ball defense,” Perham head coach TJ Super said. “Ryleigh had seven deflections. Cora had six steals.”
As a team, the Yellowjackets had 13 steals and committed only eight turnovers.

Perham’s Willow Thiel had a game-high 19 points, sinking 9-of-10 attempts in the second half. Thiel also tacked on 12 rebounds to secure a double-double.
Mya Morris and Olivia Pilgrim both scored 18 points. Morris scored all of her 18 points behind the arc on 6-of-10 three-point shooting. Pilgrim wasn’t far behind, shooting 4-of-8 from deep.
The Rockets leading scorer was Amelia Blaskowski who finished her night with 12 points.
