PERHAM – The Perham boys golf team took second place in a Heart O’Lakes Conference meet at Lakeside Golf Course in Perham on Monday.
Marcus Belka paced the Yellowjackets with a seven-over-par 79, which was good enough for second place in the field. He made birdies on Nos. 5, 8 and 14.
Brayden Glorvigen tied for eighth in the field. He made a birdie on No. 16 and five pars to finish 16-over-par. Ethan Guck was right on pace with Glorvigen with an 88 as well. He made a birdie on no. 12 and three pars.
Cole Reuter rounded out the varsity scorers for the Yellowjackets. He made par on three holes on each nine to finish 19-over-par. Tait Bormann (102) and Jaxon Bain (123) completed the top six for the Perham varsity squad.
Hawley won the meet with a team score of 330. Perham was 16 strokes behind in third place, with Barnesville in third at 365.

On Thursday, the Yellowjackets took third place at the Hawley invite. Perham finished with a team score of 320, which was 10 strokes behind the nuggets.
Belka took first place in the field with a three-under-par 69. He made birdies on Nos. 4, 5, 6, 11 and 14. Glorvigen (80), Guck (82) and Bormann (89) rounded out the top four Perham golfers.
Mallory Belka cards three medalist honors
The Perham girls played in a pair of nine-hole events against conference opponents.
Mallory Belka brought home two medalist honors at the Hawley and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton invites. At DGF on Monday, she scored a 41 with birdies on Nos. 14 and 16 at the Moorhead Country Club.
Lexi Kunza (50), Aubry Zimmerman (52) and Addicyn Zimmerman (52) totaled 195 for Perham Kaia Anderson (54) and LaVonne Lindberg (66) did not factor into the scoring.
On Thursday, Belka carded four birdies to finish three-under-par on the front nine at the Hawley Golf and Country Club. She won the medalist honor by 10 strokes over Kunza, who scored a 44.
Aubry Zimmerman (50), Anderson (53), Addicyn Zimmerman (54) and Lindberg (56) also competed in Hawley.
Belka also finished one-under-par in the Barnesville invite on Monday. She made birdies on Nos. 3 and 6 to win by two strokes over Hawley’s Ivy Tickel. Kunza (41), Addicyn Zimmerman (45), Anderson (51), Aubry Zimmerman (54) and Lindberg (57) rounded out the pack for Perham.
