Braylon Rach was the only Perham wrestler to make it to the second day. He took on Aitkin's Jacob Williams and lost by decision (7-3). He needed a win to secure all-state honors.
The Perham wrestling team's state tournament run ended after the Rach loss.

UPDATED 8:29 p.m. — Perham's Braylon Rach (182) punched his ticket to Saturday with his first wrestleback victory.

He defeated Albert Lea's Kadin Indrelie by decision (5-3). Rach will wrestle on Saturday, March 4 against Aitkin's Jason Williams for a chance to earn all-state honors with a victory.
Chandler Mickelson (132) lost a tough match to Simley's Jason Salas by decision 3-1. His season comes to an end.
Rorey Lindquist (220) also failed to win his wrestleback match. He fell to Hibbing's Ian Larrabee by decision (5-1).

Perham's Braylon Rach lost his quarterfinals match to Simley's Travis Smith by fall (1:58). He will wrestle Albert Lea's Kadin Indrelie in a wrestleback to keep his season afloat.
Chandler Mickelson (132) will wrestle again in a wrestleback against Simley's James Salas.
Rorey Lindquist (220) will get a chance to keep his season alive with a matchup against Hibbing's Ian Larrabee in a wrestleback.

Unfortunately for Isaac Adams (120) and Hudson Hackel, their seasons ended after failing to get wins from Simley's Lano Oduwaiye and Totino-Grace's Austin Herbst in their quarterfinal matches.
Wrestlebacks matches will give the kids a chance to advance in the consolation bracket to fight for third place on Saturday, March 4.

The other four Perham wrestlers are hoping for their first-round opponents to win their quarterfinal matches to get a chance at a wrestleback. If their first-round opponents lose, then the four Yellowjackets will be eliminated from the tournament.
