Perham girls basketball coaches receive section honors

The Yellowjackets had a 22-3 overall record this year. The team finished 12-0 and first in the Heart O’ Lakes Conference.

PERHAM – The Perham girls basketball head coach, T.J. Super, and assistant coach Michelle Bormann have been voted the Section 8AA girls coach and assistant coach of the year for leading the Yellowjackets to a dazzling 22-3 overall record and a first-place seed in the section tournament.

The Yellowjackets finished 12-0 and first in the Heart O’ Lakes Conference this year. The HOL title stays in Perham for the second season in a row and for just the third time in 31 years.

The Yellowjackets, ranked ninth in the state in Class 2A, began playoffs on Thursday, March 2, at home versus 16th-ranked Warroad. Perham beat Warroad 64-26.
