ST. PAUL – The Perham girls basketball team found itself down 31-24 at half against Crosby-Ironton. The Yellowjackets outscored the Rangers 32-19 in the second half to grab a 56-50 victory and secure their spot in the consolation championship game against New London-Spicer.
Cora Grismer led the attack in the second half with 13 points. She finished the night with a team-high 17 points and added one rebound and two assists. Willow Thiel finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds to secure the double-double. Mya Morris had 11 points, three rebounds and one assist. The three Yellowjackets combined for 43 of Perham’s 56 points.
Crosby-Ironton’s Tori Oehrlein finished with a game-high 28 points. She was one of four Rangers to score in the game.
