PERHAM – Legendary Perham wrestling figure Larry Mollins will be inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame-MN Chapter on Apr. 22, 2023, at the Austin Holiday Inn Conference Center.
Larry Mollins gave back 48 years to the sport of wrestling. He coached for 11 seasons at Perham High School, where his teams went 115-37-1. They won 22 state championships. Their 1979 team won the individual state tournament for Class A. The NDSU standout coached six individual state champs and five collegiate All-Americans.
Over the past 37 years, Mollins has been the voice of radio wrestling in northwest Minnesota, receiving MWCA Announcing awards twice for state tournaments.
The social event will begin at noon, while the dinner will be from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at the ceremony. The inductions and program will begin at 3 p.m. A silent auction will start at noon.
