Park Rapids has put a lock on most of their duals this season, including a dual victory over Perham/New York Mills 97-88 in September. The Panthers continued their dominance with a first place finish at the Mid-State Conference meet edging out the Yellowjackets, in second, 460-417.
Detroit Lakes finished a distant third with 263 points, ahead of fourth-place Staples-Motley with 175.
"We, definitely, had some fantastic swims tonight," Head Coach Sheri Ressler said. "I am very proud of these girls and how hard they are trying."
Rylie Rothmeyer was part of four of five new Perham school records set at the meet. One of Rothmeyer's records also set a Mid-State Conference Meet record in the 500-freestyle, finishing in a time of 5:34.34. The former record was 5:35.39, a 2006 mark.
"We have never had a girl set a conference record before," Ressler said.

Rothmeyer's other school firsts were in the 200-freestyle, 2:05.37; and as part of two relay teams: 200-freestyle Relay A team, along with partners Kelsey Kratzke, Sam Salathe, and Natalie Murphy.
The other relay record was set by the 400-freestyle relay team A of: Rothmeyer, Kyra Arneri, Salathe and Murphy,
Kratzke set the fifth school record in the 200 I.M., in a time of 2:25.44. Her time was second to Detroit Lakes Miranda Olson's 2:23.64.
Swimmers garnering all-conference awards were: Rothmeyer-200-free and 500-free; Murphy-100-free; and the 200-free Relay A team of: Rothmeyer, Kratzke, Salathe, Murphy.
All-Conference Honorable Mention awards were given to: the 200-medley relay A team: Bailey Meyer, Kratzke, Salathe, Murphy; Jackie Hanson in the 200-free; Kratzke in the 200-I.M. and 100-breastroke; Jill Burns in the 500-free; the 200-free relay B team: Lexi Richter, Beth Ingebrand, Annie Ingebrand and Hanson; Meyer, in the 100-backstroke: and the 400-free relay A team of: Rothmeyer, Arneri, Salathe and Murphy.
The Yellowjackets will practice up for the Section 8A meet in Detroit Lakes. The meet is held over a two-day period, Nov. 11-12, at the Detroit Lakes Community Center pool.
