Strong start to new season for Perham Hot Shots

The 2017 Perham Hot Shots started the new trap and skeet shooting season with their opening week of practice at the Fort Thunder Shooting Center in Perham, Minn.

The 2017 Perham Hot Shots started the new trap and skeet shooting season with their opening week of practice at the Fort Thunder Shooting Center in Perham, Minn.

The trap season got off to a fast start for the Hot Shots will several shooters reaching the 40 target plateau. Caleb Clark and Wesley Vroman were the top shooters for the first practice week, each recording a 44.

Clark finished with two rounds of 22, while Vroman finished with a round of 20 and a round of 24, missing just one target from a perfect 25. Kyle Hanson opened with a 42, finishing with rounds of 19 and 23.

Tanner Rastedt fired a 43, ending with a 22 and a 21, while Rowdie Lindquist ended his day with a 40, after rounds of 19 and 21.

Lane Masteller was the top shooter in skeet. He finished the day with a 48. He opened his first round a with a 25 straight and followed by hitting 23 of 25 targets in his second round.


Rastedt reached the 40 target plateau, finishing with rounds of 18 and 23. William Minten was the model of consistency. He finished with a 40, finishing both the first and the second round by hitting 20 total targets.
