The Perham/New York Mills captured its third straight 7-0 victory when they disposed of Parkers Prairie on Sept. 17 at the Perham Tennis Courts.
The Yellowjackets have been on a roll of late with wins over Park Rapids Area, Fergus Falls and now Parkers Prairie during their 7-0 run. During that span as well, the Yellowjackets captured second at the Mid-State Conference tournament.
The Yellowjackets dropped just two games in singles action and dropped seven total games in doubles action during the home sweep. The Yellowjackets moved the lineup around as well, continuing to showcase their flexibility among the doubles and singles players on the squad.
Jade Lenius earned a straight set 6-0, 6-0 victory over Ana Marquardt at No. 1 singles. Avery Beachy won by the same score when she defeated Hannah Samuelson at No. 2 singles. Kendra Moris moved to the No. 3 singles spot and earned a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Aili Toyli. Mallory Belka made quick work of Emerson Marquardt at No. 4 singles when she won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.
The Yellowjackets found success in the doubles portion of the dual as well. JoJo Winkels and Kiera Radniecki won in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 over Reghan DeBoer and Megan Riegstad.
Mirta Vorderbruggen and Malia Groff moved into the No. 2 doubles spot and earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Lizzie Vogt and Ashley Vogt.
The team of LaVonne Lindberg and Jazzmin Branchaud cruised to a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Sabrina Aldrich and Elizabeth Harstad to close out the sweep.
The Yellowjackets will face a tough test on Sept. 19 when they welcome the Detroit Lakes Lakers to the Perham Tennis Courts at 4:30 p.m.
