Here is a look at the fields, courts and track awaiting a home spring athletic event in Perham. Each venue is guarded by a mote of standing water, plenty of mud and a fair amount of snow, as of Thursday. The softball diamonds at Arvig Park seem to have the most snow, disregarding the sheer acreage at the golf course, naturally. Matt's Field has a jump on the rest of the venues. With decent temperatures on the way and a mostly sugar sand base around the area, the ground will hopefully soak up quickly so games can begin next week.
