The Silver boys met league champion, Alexandria, in the first round of consolation play on Saturday in Veseli and lost a seesaw battle 8-7.
Perham took their first lead of the game in the top of the first as Ron Litzau picked up a one out walk, moved to second on a passed ball and scored on a single by Gary Grewe.
The lead was short lived as Alexandria rallied with two out - a double and three singles put the Clippers up 2-1.
Perham came back in the second with a walk to Brad Kempe a sacrifice by Larry Mollins moved Kempe to second. Jason McClellan walked and Kempe scored on a sacrifice fly to left by Litzau. Grewe drew a walk and Jim Nelson doubled to chase McClellan home to give the Pirates a 3-2 lead.
Alexandria tied the game in the third with a run on three singles.

Perham came up with a big fourth inning on a walk to Litzau, a single by Grewe and a walk to Nelson. Jon Kotaska reached on an error to score Litzau. Jeremy Kovash had a fielder's choice to drive in Grewe. Greg Schmid reached on an error scoring Nelson and a couple of fielders' choices by Kempe and Mollins got Schmid in with the fourth run of the inning and the Pirates had a 6-3 lead.
The fourth inning was also good to Alexandria as they scored three runs on a walk, two errors and a single - Perham was clinging to a 6-3 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth.
A couple of errors and a double put the Clippers up 8-7 after six and that is how the game ended.
Greg Schmid allowed ten hits, had four strikeouts and only issued two free passes - in the end it was errors, which cost Schmid the game victory.
WEB-GEM: Jon Kotaska had a neat backhanded stop at third and gunned down a speedy Clipper runner to start the game and got the Silver Pirates fired up for the contest.
PLAYER OF THE GAME: Ron Litzau had two hits, scored two runs, had an RBI, walked twice, had a sacrifice and a stolen base and always plays solid in the field.
Sunday, the Silver lads took on a tough Union Hill crew on their home turf for seventh place in Class A.
Union Hill was very comfortable at home as they picked up fourteen hits and seven runs while committing no errors. The Pitbulls scored one in the first, three in the second, a run in the fourth and two more in the seventh.

Perham could only muster a pair of runs on seven hits while committing two errors. Union Hill won the game 7-2.
Jon Kotaska only allowed three free passes to the Pitbulls and fanned 10 in seven innings but they were good hitters at home.
WEB-GEMS: Ray Sailer played a solid third base with three nice plays on hard hit balls and Gary Grewe had a diving catch up the middle on a screaming liner from his second base position.
Brad Kempe was the lone Pirate hitter to hit double figures with a pair of hits and five of his teammates hit single safeties - Kotaska, Grewe, Sailer, Jim Belfiori and McClellan.
PLAYER OF THE GAME: Ray Sailer had three solid plays at third (solid at third all season) and picked up a hit to help the cause.
Carlos won the State Class B title and Nisswa finished Runner-up in class B.
That is it for 2010 - The Silver Pirates had a good regular season finishing second in the Northwest Men's League with an overall 12-3 record. They have the players to make a deep run at the State Tourney next year and there always are some new additions, which will certainly increase their chances. Gary Grewe had an awesome year at the plate - great job.
